SKIN CONCERNS
PIGMENTATION
Skin pigmentation refers to the color of the skin, which is primarily determined by melanin, a pigment produced by cells called melanocytes. When the body produces too much or too little melanin, it can lead to uneven skin tones or discoloration. Common causes of pigmentation changes include sun exposure, hormonal changes (such as during pregnancy or with contraceptive use), ageing, and skin injuries or inflammation. Conditions like melasma, age spots, or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation can also contribute to changes in skin pigmentation. Proper skin care, sun protection, and targeted treatments can help manage and even out skin tone
